What is the biggest Slick or Tire you can stick under a 66 Fairlane without Cutting anything? Also what size wheels as far as backspacing works the best, stock rearend width.

Thanks

Slicks

255/60/15 street tires fit no problem. That is a 10.1 inch section width. Go to Mickey Thompson, Hoosier or M&H websites and look at slicks and their advertised section widths. Not all tires are the same size physically even thought the advertised numbers match. For instance. I have 28/9/15 M/T slicks for my Fairlane. They are 10.8 section width. I had bought some M&H 28/9/15 slicks and they were almost an inch wider. They did not fit. The M/T O.D. is actuallt 27.3 even though it's advertised at 28". A M&H is as advertised at 28". Look up the online catalog specs and study them.

I just put a set of hoosier 28" by 10" slicks on mine. With a minor massage of the fender lips the clear just fine and look sweet.
