found a 2 dr hardtop 65 fairlane A code 4 speed

here's the rest of the pics. i looked over the car pretty good. the engine bay seems okay. the floorpans have some holes but nothing some patches or new pans wouldn't fix. the worst area was inside the trunk around the gas tank and along the bottom of the rear panel. but it's nothing that couldn't be fixed, i've seen worse.

Be a real challenge, i don;t think anyone is re-poping trim parts for 65.
Sure like the driveline though.
Is it just the photo or does trany that hump look non stock?

yeah, for what he'd probably take for it i feel the drivetrain would be worth it. as for the tranny hump, on a 65 i have no idea.

like most people the 65 is not my fav fairlane...but it could be restored

driveline looks great tho

love these oltin pics tho....we should have one thread with just old paddock bomb pics in it.....just so us aussies can sit here and dream Laughing Laughing Laughing

i'm glad to see somebody else is like me, because i love looking at project cars in junkyards and people's backyards. i don't know why that is, but i get more of a thrill from that than seeing something fully restored. you can see restored stuff all the time in magazines, but to see something that needs restoring just makes me think about all the possibilities of the cars.
