Heres my dilemma,

and the wife is due late january but having trouble with names.
Edsel has been ruled out so has Clay (clay smith cams)
Vincent(motor cycles) is being considered as is jensen(440 powered brit sports cars) any suggestions? _________________ low loud and proud

not to jump off subject here, but did ya'll know that when ford introduced the taurus in 86 that they were first going to call it "Edsel" ? There slogan was going to be "Edsel. This time we're serious." Eventually they decided to go with taurus because they thought edsel would kill the marketing. _________________ NMCB 28 Seabee Battalion

Take time to think about it
Not to be the downer here but give some consideration for the future. Does your child want to be called a "Ford" name when in school. Will it be a focal point to make fun of? Maybe he or she won't like Fords or care where the name came from? All things to consider. It really is about them. I name pets the silly names but my daughter, we named her Taylor and she is proud to be called Taylor. In our house when someone says Taylor we think of her and nothing else. If I called her Fairlane then there would be a question. The car or the daughter? Taylor is my daughter, Fairlane is my car.

thanks,
i think my grandparents must've been drunk on some of the corn whiskey they used to make when they named my dad and aunts/uncles:
Etoy (aunt)
Earline (aunt)
Zona (aunt)
Pauline (aunt)
Carl (uncle)
Hershel (uncle)
Thermon (uncle)
Carlton (dad)
now i'd bet money none of you ever had any relatives named Etoy, Earline, Zona, or Thermon
And Carl and Carlton aren't necessarily weird, but why name two kids such similar names? And my grandfathers name was Elton, so my dad named my poor younger brother Elton Chester and he's been teased about it his whole life. He called the poor kid Chester, not a cool name to grow up in the 90's with. _________________ NMCB 28 Seabee Battalion

Earline must be a southern thing. Not sure if my great aunt's name is spelled the same though. I can't remember all of the strange family names I've heard, there's so many. I had an aunt named Fanny. _________________ 1967 Fairlane 500, 302 V8, Toploader transmission. Maybe I'll eventually get it on the road.
