linkage
Steve: If the AOD tranny linkage is giving you the sweats i did repalce my floor shifter, linkage when i went to the C-4 gear vendor install.
The shifter/linkage is out of a Maverick grabber.
the linkage is no work of art but it worked great for the AOD, had to releive the tunel to make it work,if you want it let me know. _________________ roger powell

Ranch 67,
If you are swapping to a big block power brakes, you can get the bell crank assy. from any 66-68 (69?) Fairlane Comet I believe. It is the booster that is a smaller diameter, in order to clear the valve covers that is the problem.....to find!
Once you have the bellcrank assy, then it would be fairly straight forward to adapt a later model unit to it.
Pictures of any work done so far would be great!
I put power 4 wheel discs in my 67 Squire and love it! BUT, I hate it every time I need to take off that danged LH valve cover!!!! Booster hasta come off! Argh!
L8R!

copy cat
I to will rave on Steves inventiveness, if thats a word.
I copied his 8.8" disc brake install on my 62 S.C. but went with manual 4-wheel disc using the alum. master off a 96 stang GT.
my only worry is i cannot lock up the brakes, not that i realy want too, but, even with the prop. valve 75% favoring the rear i still cannot lock up the rears.
The car stop well, although in a panic stop i;m concerned they may not, do the job.
I;m thinking the bore size may be a bit to large?
i would like to stay with manual 4 wheel disc as its a very clean install
any thoughts
Oh, the MC did come with/off a P. booster if that matters, as Steve says you have to move or replace the wiper motor to fit it. _________________ roger powell

hydro booster
fastmerc,
i'm looking into a hydraulic booster.
same length as stock, smaller diameter. just need to re-route power steering hose lines.
gotta clear headers and valve covers. if this doesnt work, i'll have to get a manual brake pedal assembly. ( i already have power brake set-up)
more to come with this setup. _________________ This Ain't No L-Kamino!

I've been looking into a PDB setup too. I've decided to stay with just the dual MC manual disk setup on my 66 with a 460. MP Brakes does have a nice setup I think it's part number BM1510. Comes with bellcrank assy too! Very nice setup for $399. I've seen just the bellcrank assy go for $110+ on ebay.

options
Geo booster/mc works just fine, with front discs & rear drums
look over at crazyformercurys for install by arie
he says he can lock em up if he has too
even a pattern for the firewall adapter
OR you can use a 90;s mustang mc, but the matching booster is to big & pretty ugly too
Sourcing an early stang booster, they are just small enough to fit, work & don;t look so goofy as the big, fat later booster _________________ roger powell
