Will 429 with Air Gap fit under uncut 69 hood?

I'm building a 429 to swap into a 69 Fairlane, and trying to make a decision on intakes. The stock carb height on the existing 2-V intake is 3.5 inches. I'd like to use an Air Gap at 5.5" in height. I will not be using a PCV spacer with the new setup.

Does anyone know if this will fit under my uncut hood, with a Quick Fuel 750 carb on top? Is there room for any kind of insulator spacer?

I'm also trying as much as possible to avoid using a large drop air cleaner to clear because I'd rather not have the restriction if possible.

Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences and suggestions.
