Sounds like a dream, but while I was doing another for some replacements for my 6134s I stumbeled over these new Sanderson shorties, clasimed to be made for our cars:
The hookers won't fit. They come out straight from the heads too far before turning. I emailed JBA a few years ago and they told me that they wouldn't fit because the go straight back toward the firewall too far before turning down. Apparently the Fairlane engine is set back quite a bit farther than a Mustang. I have a pair of the Sanderson FF3gts headers. The right side will just fit with no problem and the drivers side will fit with just a minor trim of the shock tower near the bottom. I was going to put them on, but ran out of time and money due to a home purchase (bigger money pit than I had before!) The port openings on them are really narrow. I have Edelbrock heads on my engine and they have a wide square port and the header is tall and skinny. I will someday pull the engine and trim the shock towers way back, since I have a custom designed and built coilover strut suspension in the front. Then my header choices will be better. _________________ Steve 64 S/C big brakes 8.8 rear 289 lentech AOD, strut front suspension
