tall FE valve covers hit the master cylinder
got a 427 in a 67 fairlane, Have the tall aluminum cobra lemans style finned covers. they are just barely touching the manual brake mast cyl at rest, but when i rev it ,the one cover really knocks it around. any suggestions on a different cyinder that will clear things better? oh and its four wheel discs. thanks.

Try a master cylinder from a 89 ford Ranger. It will bolt right up and is very stream lined. This is the master cylinder that I used when I put the 460 in my 67 that was hitting the stock master cylinder.

late Mustang
Or ,you can try the late 90;s Mustang MC, its for 4 wheel disc brakes & easy to find, aluminum/plastic resovoir.
I have a 97 stang GT in mine, with Wilwood 2 piston disc brakes Front & the hungry Currie Explorer type rear discs. _________________ roger powell

well figured out the mid 90s mustang v8 cylinder is a hydroboost setup, and wont bolt to the firewall. we want a 4 wheel disc unit... now looking at late 90's v8 explorer units. will keep you all posted

mc
My 97 Mustang GT MC came off a V-8 car & had no hydroboost, or i would have grabbed it too.
I used the Stang MC with a small Mustang 11 p.booster, canted 351C type valve covers & i have about 1/2" of clearance.
Your right tho, the Explorer has 4 wheel disc too, & looks just like my Stang MC _________________ roger powell
