Relay question

I;ve wired up a bunch of realys for headlights, fans, choke ,even for a multi 12 V "key on" power source & i;ve just noticed that one of em, the top piece, the "brains" of the relay reads -2 x 15 amp & i need a 30 amp one.
I can just switch the top part, to a one with a 30 amp rating, i'm pretty sure, eh?

If the wiring to that circuit is rated for 30 amps for the run, then you could. Otherwise, be prepared to let the smoke out of the insulation.

relay trigger

I have this 30 amp rated relay hooked up to supply 12 V "Key on"power to a circuit board with 4 fused outlets on it, each with a 20 amp fuse.

If the "key on" pulls the relay, that's how it should work if that's what you want. I may not understand the description properly; You have a single relay rated for 30 amps with four 20 amp circuits on it? Two 20 amp circuits running through a single 30 amp relay -regardless of individual circuit fuses- will melt the relay. If the total pull on the circuit is within its capacity, then no problem.

Gerry - Am i ok??

Ok, let me explain, i do see what you mean though
I needed a number of 12v Key on sources underhood & instead of scrambling under the dash looking for them, i followed this article at ford muscle site to get sources to power:
1- Holley choke
2- a 12 v key on source to trigger the electric fan Varible speed module, the module does have its own 12 v power source right off a battery hot dedicated to it only
So, i;ve got a Relay, & from the #87 terminal a 12 G. wire runs to a small panel mounted on inner fender, that has 4 outlets for 12 v key on power only.
#86 terminal i have 1 12 V key on power source from underdash,
#30 is 12V power from Batt. & #85 is ground
My buddy is doin the samething, for 12v key on source, at least wired the same, but uses a Ford starter solenoid instead of a relay
Gerry - I don;t pretend to be a Electircal guy, if i;ve messed up here somehow leeme know before i fire here up,eh!!!
