The GT grilles wire painted dark gray on the horizontal ribs and black between the ribs. The non-GT grilles did not have the ribs painted. I think they were still painted black between the ribs. _________________ -- David

I like it painted, but to each his own. I'm in the process of restoring a grill for my '66, and am trying to make it look as good as new, trying I say.

Re: 67 Grille
I'm deciding what to do with mine at the moment. The rest of the car is being painted, (Raven Black) and I really don't know what to do with the grille, headlight doors etc. The bumper is fibreglass, so It's going to have to have some paint on it too. Wondering whether to paint everything black and have a really dark, mean looking car or stripping everything back that was chromed or polished and going the satin silver look. The grille and the headlight doors are OK looking as is, but not up to the task when the rest of the car is going to look schmick. It's not a concourse resto, more of a personal build. Anyway, I can't see the photobucket images, can you reload or repost or something so that we can see them? I'm looking for ideas with how to paint this thing.
