tranny fluid out the d/s tube
i swapped replaced my trans today,and while i was fillinf it up it started to overfill the tube and funnle. started the car and it went down as i added more it started to spew it out the tube this was only 3 qts in so its not over full finnaly got 9 qts in and dorve home , looked under the car and i got fluid leaking and the dip stick tube is wet agine?could my vent be clogged? i didnt check it befor i put the trans in thanks stan _________________ 66 289 mild port work edelbrook 600 cfm proformer intake msd/duraspark long tube headers roller tip rockers crane cam flowmasters 3.55 gears b&m transpack

think i found out what i did wrong i had to swap the tail sections and my 66 vent was in the case the 72 was in the tail so im running no vent _________________ 66 289 mild port work edelbrook 600 cfm proformer intake msd/duraspark long tube headers roller tip rockers crane cam flowmasters 3.55 gears b&m transpack

Best you vent the tranny - there's areason they put them there. Not venting
leads to hydralic expansion with no were to go, seals folded in from negative
fluid pressure, internal seals blown, pan leakage etc. 1/2 psi internal
pressure equals about 80psi on a pan 8"x10" or 80 sq. in. Good luck.
