Lower Rad hose
I just got a used alum. radiator from a friend of mine for my 67 289. The top hose will seem to work fine. The outlet for the rad is on the drivers side so I am having a hard time finding a lower hose. Due to the fact that the waterpump inlet is on the passenger side. I cant be the only one that has made this swap so I am looking for info on what lowewr hose to use. i went to a parts store today and they let me look at the hoses but that would take a week. Thanks for any help. I guess I could use on of those flex hoses if I had to.

Auto parts store have a congregated flex hose. another reason to use the flex hose is that it will not collapse under acceleration. I bought one this past week and it was $21.00, you could get a steel flex hose off ebay for about that price too. _________________ John Creager

Does it have to be for a turbo? Or just 79-80 Mustang.

Ravy, I know on my 66 289 the water pump outlet is on the passenger side as well as my lower radiator hose hookup. Could you take that radiator to a shop and have them switch the lower outlet to the passenger side? That might help you out.

turbo
it has to be for a turbo, as it used a v-8 cooling system and exhaust, the WP exite on the pass side, and crosses over to the drivers side radiator.

pump
you could swap the water pump out to one with the outlet on the other side, too, specify a 351c pump...
you could section the turbo hose and connect with a coupler... works for me...
