Does anyone know why the fastbacks have a gas tank with an extra vent? I have looked at the regular 20 gallon tank with a single vent and the fastback tank with two vents, and can see no reason why they used the two vents on the fastback.

After looking at the gas tanks; the double vent tank is $259.95 and the single vent tank is $159.95, I think the single vent tank will work in the fastback car. The double vent tank, has a the second vent at the top of the tank and both tanks have the same vent that runs the lenght of the tank so I believe the single vent tank will work in the fasback if you close off the second vent line.
