Wiring help
I am gonna redue my wiring. I was looking at Painless or EZ2wire. I heard good things about both companies. Can anyone help out? EZ2 is cheaper so it looks good to me.

Stock wiring diagram
Howdy. I have a pdf of the stock diagram if you'd like. It might help. Have not done what you're doing, but Painless always seems a very safe bet! Good luck, Scott

Haven't gone that route myself, but the wiring is a mess on my convt. so I pay attention when someone posts their experience. Here are a few excerpts, "I used a Ron Francis kit on my '69 Fairlane. It's a good bit of work, but I feared having wiring issues like that especially since some parts of the original harness had been hacked up. "
"I'm putting a new Ron Francis harness in my Cobra replica as we speak. I looked at Painless, but not only was it more money but it is based on a GM harness and adapted to Ford. With Ron Francis, tell them what you have and it comes all set to go for a Ford, not some GM harness adapted to fit. I am very happy with the harness and with the assistance I need and get from the folks at Ron Francis."
Good luck,

I second Scott's input. I installed a kit from American Autowire. The Highway 22 series. It is also based on a GM design so there is a lot of "making" it work. It was less expensive than the Ron Francis kit, but looking back on it I should have just spent the extra money and ordered from Ron Francis so they could build it to fit the car. I like my wiring kit that is in it now because I can add additional stuff later, but it was a pain to begin with. _________________ 1966 Fairlane 500 Conv't

I just did my 64 with a Ron Francis kit. Never wired a car before and it was so easy. Everything is marked and the instructions are good. They give lots of wire in the kit.
A couple of things did come up though. The wiper switch with the kit is on and off with no park, I had to buy a new switcch. Heater motor, interior lighting wire are add on kits. I just used the extra wire in the kit. IF want door switches those are extra.
Overall it was way easy and I will wire the next project with Ron Francis.
