Is your negative reversed?
It looks to be on the wrong bloody side of the car.
(Vain attempt at humor)
Looks pretty nice!

Compact
looks great! Is that export brace a factory piece or did you make it? any info? Also can you post a picture of the Left front fender apron where the battery is.
Were the Austrailian Fairlanes converted to RH drive from the factory? I know that on Canadian built cars, the door data plate specifies whether its a LH or RH drive car.

sill panels
Hi compact,
Ive got a spare set, are yours missing?
you wouldnt have a spare fuel tank you can swap?
ive got vitually a whole car for parts.
The braces (Got one to swap for 2 tudor doors ) are standard in aus/export, the fairlanes were supplied in ckd (complete knocked down)from canada and (mine)assembled in homebush sydney
also we didnt get the 64 dash they reused a 63 in 1964.
no manual option was available and i think that only fairlane 500s
came out.
Australian production figures:
1962 - 1632
1963 - 1771
1964 - 1344
ps-if you need any info/parts go to www.therubberconnection.com.au
pps did you get my pm?

1: could you post a picture of the left front fender apron. Is it exactly like the right side, but reversed? If yes, what condition is it in? interested in selling it?
2: I have 1 spare 64 2dr sedan door. Not in that good of shape. Shipping would be crazy $$ from Canada to Austrailia. Interested in selling the export brace?
3: in ckd, were they already RH drive when they left Canada? or converted in Austrailia?
Thanks for the info _________________ John P

parts
Hi John,
just sent a request to a local shipping company hope they get back soon,
parts are yours just pay for shipping.
looks like the inner guards are mirrored.(camera broken)
pretty sure that they were sent rhd
interestingly my dad and I both had 64s a while back his was imported from the states but made rhd and was driven for 2 or so years before being brought out here had the original sales receipt and all,
but it was all the same as my aussie 64 except for a heater and power steer.
Complete with 63 dash?
Will post when I get the shipping quote.

I think I know what John is doing, and it's a good idea if I'm right.
He's wanting the driver's side battery tray so he can run the hoses from the inner headlights to the intake and make it look cleaner. _________________ Larry Hampton

Thanks Clint, let me know about the shipping. Are you interested in my RH 2dr sedan door? It does have some damage, I can email you some pics. Email me your email address. Can you email pics of the inner panel and export brace? _________________ John P
