After installing Granada spindles and discs on a '64 Fairlane, it's obvious that something needs to be done to restore the original amount of steering travel. Is bending the rear end of the strut rod the answer, or cutting it shorter, or something else?
Thanks.

I have had the same question on my '63 for some time now.
But this is what I have learned so far:
The suspension should be at normal ride height to give the true steering movement. (not on jack stands with the suspension at full extension)
Both finished steering stops could/will be at different positions.
You can cut/grind/bend the stop as required. Each install will be different.
No one seems to know a good starting point (ie: 1/2" shorter, etc.)
I have an idea on how to set these that will require a tack weld and a piece of 1/8" plate. If you'd like I can email you with a sketch Ill pm you.
Thanks
Henry

I cut a little over 1/2" inch off and that seems perfect.
