What parts interchange from Galaxie to Fairlane?
I was checking out the local salvage yard and although I did not find any Fairlanes, I did find a 65 & 66 Galaxie 500. Mainly I am looking for door releases and strike plates. Both cars are fairly complete with the interior, so I was wondering what I might be able to use in my 66 Fairlane. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Maybe I should be more precise in my questions. Will the door release, strike plate and lock mechanism fit from a Galaxie into a Fairlane? It looks like they do but I just want to make sure.

According to the FoMOCo Parts Manual, the Galaxie latch mechanism will not interchange. Only 1966 Falcon will work with 1966 Fairlane. Part# C6OZ-6221812/3-A.
The striker plate from the 1965-1966 Galaxie will work with 1966 Fairlane. Part# C5AZ-6222008-A.
