Steering "rag joint" replacement on my '66?
Removing the two nuts, bolts and washers is straight forward. How do the pins come out? The new pins in the kit have UNF threads and everey feature on the pin is round, nothing to wrench it on and off. How do the pins come out? I have not tackled it yet, just looking it over. I plan on the change out tomorrow.

Doug, looking at my parts catalogue the pins have a round collar near the head that you should just be able to tap them out with a hammer. Hit the threaded end and I'd try some WD-40 to assist in easing them out.

So how do know if it's worn out?
Preventative maintenance is one of my pet peeves. A piece of 40 year old rubber and trusting mine, my wife and daughter lives it will be OK? No thanks! I'll replace it.
