how to address problem

Should i say something to this guy?
Long story short i made a deal for numerous early F;lane parts with a guy, who will remain nameless, on line.
Many e-mails back & forth about parts so when it came down to it, i did send a bunch of extra trim i did not need, but, i knew he could use, plus the parts he asked for, at a very resonable cost to him.
1 mnth later i see most of these parts at one of our favorite sites For Sale!!
Now, i don;t mind a guy making a buck of parts, but, parts i sent were, i thought, for his car, which is why i added a few trim pieces & for a smokin deal i might add!
If i;d know i would see this stuff, on line ,for 30-50% more i wouldn;t have sold them!
Should i say something, or am i over reacting?
Just put it down as a life lesson?

I've had the same thing happen to me. I sold a guy an original radio delete for "HIS" 65 Mustang and a week later he tripled his money on E-bay. Oh well I guess I got what I wanted for it. I've also seen stuff that I have sold at swap meets on E-bay with my writing still on the part and at other swap meets for way more than I got for it. Money makes the world go around.

Roger, your story makes me sad. My daughter's 1961 Plymouth Savoy needed an intake manifold for it's slant six when we purchased the car. A friend of a friend heard about what we needed and gave her one. I tried to pay him but he refused saying, "I don't own a slant six, don't need it and she does." A fellow "Forward Look" Mopar nut in California sent her a set of chrome headlight shades and refused any money though he is dang sure gettin' his shipping back.

I've given many parts away and sold some cheap 'cuz I thought someone was deserving of them. I'm sorry your trust was a bit misplaced ~ your buyer has no class.

Roger, you did the right thing, he's a skunk! We have all done the same thing to help out fellow enthusiasts. But don't let it dampen your outlook on the world.

Later!

wow, thats lame. sadly some people take advsntage of others good intentions. OTOH, perhaps he didnt need the items? not saying he is right or wrong but u did a good deed, even though he sold it others may learn from ur actions and returnt he favor to someone else or even urself one day.

i had a few people send me parts for free, i didnt pay em back because they refused but i always sent them something in return. i also helped out a few people with small odds n ends when i can with many parts i have collected. good to see some honest people around yet.

it seems in the smaller internet communities like here that specialize in a smaller range of vehicles the people are generally better with this.

Well, i know in my heart i did the right thing, for the right reasons
He has to live with himself.
There was a time when i would think nothing of pulling a stunt like this for money
Thankfully, conscience & a family, seemed to have straightened me out
