thinking of power steering 63 Fairlane

Was power steering available on a 63 model? I'd like to just do a straight swap. I had a 67 galaxy that had power steering...(or maybe it was power assist, I dunno...)...but I don't want some "Frank-en-car"...ideas?

I found a 63 sport coupe that had a 64 289 installed in it and it had power steering. I removed it though because it leaks all the time. I'm putting in a 347 stroker and don't want any oil, grease,or power steering fluid on it. I was told these cars drive great without the power steering. Mine is about a month away from being drivable. I'll let you know. Everything on my 63 has been replaced with new or N.O.S parts so I can't wait to get her out.

oh don't get me wrong, my drives great, as long as it's moving. Manuevering in a parking lot is a bit of a chore though.
