Macpherson struts

Macpherson struts

Has anyone out there tried this mod? a friend of mine is doing a 67 Mustang and I'm waiting to see the results.Could be a winter project.

Why would you want to? Struts are great for a drag car when you want weight off the front end, but they are not a first choice for a street car. A LSA is always preferred over a strut. Manufacturers didn't go to struts for anything other than design, cost, and manufacturing considerations.

Struts

Perhaps you are right, I got thinking about the ride, steering geo. and loss of value for resale (if ever), NAPA has upper ball joints in stock, $22.00 for the cheapies and $37.00 for the good ones. PS. Mustang uses the same part.
