The FE and the 460 are basically the same width. I have a couple FE's and several 460's. I LOVE my 460's. If its a resto use a FE if a rod or fun car 460 is the only way to go. 460's are cheaper, tougher, and easier to get parts for is you do something really dumb.

A good stroker windsor can be a good street/strip engine but lacks some of the torque of the 460. Especially a stroked 460.
