trim packages on the 70's torinos

I've noticed over the years on the 72-up torinos that many of them had different trim names like brougham and grand torino. Was the brougham more of a luxury package and the grand torino more of a performance package? Seems like most of the broughams that I have seen had dual quarter glasses on each side, too.

In '72 the base model was called the Torino and the next level up was the Gran Torino, which used an entirely different front end from the base model.

The Gran Torino Sport was a 2-door, either formal roof or fastback, that had a hood scoop and some other Sport trim.

The Brougham name was carried over from earlier years and was a luxury option.
