427 Hood wanted
Looking for a 427 fiberglass hood for a 67 Fairlane. If you know of one or have one you want to part with please let me know.
Thanks.

No you can't. The scoop isn't sold separately, and besides, you wouldn't want to tackle it.
You can buy a new 'glass 427 Ram Air hood from Crites.

Crites to the paint shop cost is close to 500 bones. Just looking for a less expensive alternative. Due to time constraints I may have to go with Crites.
Thanks.

Yes, I know you can buy the T-bolt teardrop. By the way, that's not a scoop. The reason it looks like it does was for the highriser engine used in the T-bolt and Galaxy. They had to make room for the air bonnet so they created the teardrop dome and put extractor vents on the backside. So it doesn't take any air in, but lets it out.
But you can not buy the 427 Ram Air scoop to retrofit onto a flat hood. You may not be familiar with it but it's not a simple scoop. Look it up online and you'll see what I mean. It would be impossible for all but the most skilled body man to install.
