Explorer discs

Will the rear disc brakes on a 98 Explorer bolt on to an 8.8" rear, like the 8.8" on mustangs, t-coupes, etc?

yes

i beleive that they are the same basic part. the explorer uses an 8.8 also. crown vic rears will bolt to them as well as a 9 inch, beleive it or not...
