Another 66 Fairlane question...what is this piece?
I got my 66 GTA on the lift for the first time today to do an undercarriage inspection. Just inside the wheelhouse in front of the trunk drop, I found this hard rubber piece. What is it and what does it do? Thanks.

Looks like an attachment point for fender skirts. Never seen that before on any Fairlane so it's hard to say if that's so.

I'm not sure if its situated correctly; it might be upside down. I found a partial part on the other side and pulled it out thinking it was seam sealer. I found this whole part and pulled it away before I thought to take a picture. I set it back up there for the picture. Behind it are two holes (screw holes?) in the trunk drop in line with the outside holes in the part. There is also a larger hole in the trunk drop right in the middle, which is visible in the picture.

Thats the ¼ panel drain valve, it's supposed to keep the lower section of your ¼ panel from turning into an indoor swimming pool, usually they're packed full of dirt and debris and don't work.
