Can someone tell me what I have?

I recently bought a '66 Fairlane GTA project car and I'm trying to decipher the engine parts. It currently has a 2V intake manifold with a D3TE-94265-A1A on it. The block has a C3AE-6015-E casting. The casting number on the exhaust manifolds is C8AE-9431-B. Here is a picture of the entire engine as it sits in the car.

Also, what transmission is this? It looks like an FMX, but I was surprised to find it here (I'm not sure why I'm surprised, since the engine is a Frankenstein).

engine ID

Hi bighorse spent a little time checking into the numbers you supplied and what I found is the manifolds are from a 1968 galaxie the intake manifold is from a 1973 truck FE engine. The most interesting of all was the engine number it may be from a 1963 galaxie 406. If this is the case it is a very rare find as this is the same casting used for the 427-428 series engines. Before you do anything I would find a good machine shop that could tell you exactly what you have, they can do this by measuring the stroke and bore and other things. You can also check with the internal part numbers such as push rods and such this will give you more information.
I hope this helps, and hope it is a 406. Question

Look underneath for bolt heads for cross bolted mains and mechanical lifters. That may give you an indication of a real HP block. Look for the date codes and post those here. Just because it's a 63 casting number doesn't mean it's even early 60's block. Boy, wouldn't a 406 or 427 be a nice surprise to find........
