what oldies do you see alot of?

is there a specific make and model of vehicle that you think that you see alot of in your area? if so, what kind of vehicle is it? around here, for some reason there seem to be a ton of 69 chevy pickups. there must have been some delivery trucks that broke down here in 1969, or GM sold a ton of these trucks, but i see several every single day. i can think of at least 10 people or places that have one or that there's one sitting in someone's pasture or backyard.

unfortunately, one type of vehicle i never see around here is FAIRLANES. Crying or Very sad

most common

Around here of course cheebees are like a**holes, everybodys got one, there are a lot of Mopars and Ford muscle cars,Cobras,Corvettes,a lot of show quality cars and of course hundreds of street rods.
My Fairlane isn't going to be show Quality mainly because I'me doing it all myself, and I aint Chip Foose, but it will be passable.

There are three 64's within 10 miles and Roger's 63, he's a few miles further, I saw two 69 chev p/u's yesterday, both mobile. There's a 69 F/back Cobra Jet (428) up the road for sale and a 66 Charger. Most of the Rockets are still in storage right now, hope to see mine by the end of the month,it's about 65 miles from here as we are redoing my daughter's 65 Mustang, might slip the engine in this weekend.

Other than corvettes I have been seeing a lot of old VW bugs! They must be making a comeback around here!

I think the thing that stands out to me the most are the VW Bugs. I'm sure they're laughing at everyone else when they have to fill up for gas. Other than that, I see a Charger and Chevelle here and there, maybe an old Camaro. And there are a few nice first gen Mustang coupes around. Oh, and this one baby blue 66 Fairlane Club Coupe. At least I'm almost certain that's what it is.

I wish I'd known earlier, there was a car meet of sorts in Lexington (TN) and had I known, I'd have been all over it with my camera. When I got there, it was already dark, and I had to hit a couple parts stores before they closed, and when I was headed back to look at the cars, they were already leaving. Quite a few nice cars.
