1966 Fairlane to cyclone bumper swap

Can anyone tell me if the bumpers off a 66 fairlane will fit a 66 comet cyclone?

The Comet bumper is part# C6GY-17757-A. The Fairlane bumper is part# C6OZ-17757-A. There is no indication in any of the manuals that they will interchange.

I must admit that I am a bit baffled by what that remark is supposed to mean. Since everyone does not have access to these books, I thought that the information might be helpful. Perhaps I should think twice about offering to help in the future.

No, no, by all means, any information is helpful. Aside from real-world experience (which can vary from person to person), info like that from interchange manuals is one of the only solid info sources we have. Please don't get strung out over one person's comment.

It weas mearly an observation, I noticed you quoted the manual before that's all. It was not intended to hurt your feelings, I apologize if it offended you.

They fit but I think the turn signals are larger in the merc bumpers. After looking a bit closer I think they will bolt up but probably wouldn't match the front gravel shield correctly either.
