Old data from Woody's forum(s)?
I started the meticulous process of capturing the threads of data from Woody's Technical page. I am simply manually copying and pasting the threads into notepad right now. I am totally done with page 46 and now only have 45 pages to go! Anyway, I think there may be a better way of doing this but can't come up with anything on the spot. Later I will have to play with putting this information into some kind of accessible media, but for now at least it will be somewhere (Maybe I can generate PDF files we can post as attachments here or somewhere else of all of the pages).
If anybody has any ideas on how to better do this, feel free to mention them. In the meantime I will be working on page 45! Yee haw! _________________ MET

Mark, I'll check with my software guru at work and see if he can come up with anything. Not sure when I will catch up with him so I'll let you know when I do.

Is there a way to access the old forum threads, or maybe do a search? This would make a nice sticky for info.. _________________ '64 Fairlane 500 2dr Post

Jay,
Woody's technical bulletin board is still available but is "read-only". This means you can search on it and read the differnt posts but cannot provide any new postings or messages. I haven't done much more than copy the last couple of pages of posts to notepad and save them on a hard drive. Maybe later I will complete the copy and somehow format the data eventually if Woody ever pulls the plug completely on the website.

Is there a link to it? How do I access it? I must be stuck in a time warp somehow. I must have missed how to get to it. _________________ '64 Fairlane 500 2dr Post

Hey Mark,
I guess the plug was pulled, huh? I tried to look for some old posts, but it didn't work. Is there another web-address where the old posts are being stored?

It's been down for at least three or four months. I've been dying without some of that info. _________________ 1967 Fairlane 500, 302 V8, Toploader transmission. Maybe I'll eventually get it on the road.

I have some of the info saved in text files. Unfortunately it was a lot of work and I just assumed the data would be frozen and available. I could fire up my old computer and get the data I copied. But maybe we can just build on this site and the holes will fill in as the information is asked for. You all let me know what to do. From what I recall I saved approximately 3 or 4 months of information that spanned around 2 years. _________________ MET
