Looking for a '63-'64 dash in OK, the welded in part....

I cut out the dash of my '63 about 10 years ago, now I need to put one back. I'm planning on making a mold from the dash I acquire and make a fiberglass dash for my car that I can take out with Dzus fasteners to access the wiring and gauges easily.

I'm doing this because the rules for Nostalgia Super Stock say you need to have the original dash or a dash that appears original. I want the access behind the dash and the light weight of the fiberglass. I'd probably make some more to sell if there was an interest.

A '62 dash may work as well, I don't know the differences of the base part between the '62-'64 dashes.

I'll probably make the glove box an operable piece as it's a nice place to keep a Dzus tool, shoe polish, a flashlight, rags, etc. but it'll be made of figerglass, not metal. The gauges will be mounted to a removable piece behind the dash bezel. I plan on using stock bezels and radio delete plate on the fiberglass dash. When finished, it'll look stock, but have about 3 Dzus fasteners on each end. The center will have a deep U shaped channel that goes across the base of the windshield to capture the center.

I got a bud who owns a salvage yard near Duncan, Ok. & has a 1963 Fairlane tudor hardtop that was wrecked (not bad) in 1976 and has been in his salvage for about thirty years.

He's pretty cheap plus he'll let you look around - that's kinda rare nowadays.

He has a '51 Lincoln, '59 Edsel wagon, minty '65 Fairlane tudor post - anyway let me know and I'll get you his contact info.

Yeah, give me some info on him. I might try and get down there come spring, or if we have a mild winter.

Do you have any pics? I believe the '62 dash is different. My requirement is that it has to be able to look like a '64 dash when finished. I'm hoping to make some to sell to help fund my car and the '64 T-bolt clones is the focus for that endevour.
