1967 Fairlane 427 Toploader, The Real Thing

Okay, I have posted an ad for this tranny on the FE forum. It is a genuine RUG-L tranny for a 1967 Fairlane 427 car.
I am confident that a lot of the guys from here are members on the FE Forum, especially the BB guys. Nonetheless, I got to thinking that since what I have is for a Fairlane (and Comet naturally), that it would be appropriate to place the ad here as well.

You can view my original ad and description of the tranny here:
http://www.network54.com/Forum/75943/message/1163475048/1967+Fairlane+427+Toploader+--The+real+thing%21%21

Up the page from that ad, I have some pics and the VIN of the tranny posted as well.

Take a look at contact me if you are interested!

The only "unique" thing about this particular trans is the tailshaft housing. It's otherwise a run of the mill big in and out 14" tail toploader. The big in and out toploader was used on all 427, the 428CJ, 429 CJ, the Boss cars and a scattering of other cars. The big in and out is not rare unto itself. The tag makes the trans "rare" but like beauty, rare is in the eye of the beholder. It has particular value to the owner of the specific car it came out of -assuming that car still exists and the owner want it, or an R-code Fairlane owner doing a concours-type restoration and is willing to settle for the correct trans dispite a wrong VIN and likely a wrong date code. To anyone else, it's just a broken toploader.
