63 fairlane ranchero..did they make these?

63 fairlane ranchero..did they make these?

guys i have seen a photo somewhere of one of these......cant find it again and am wanting to know if they made these and in what quantity

am thinkin about making a 4 dr into one but want pics...as many as i can find....might even see if falcon stuff would work....but ill have to measure the falcon door frames first

anyway this is my first thought on it.......anyone else got some thoughts

I always thought that the ranchero was built on the falcon platform up till 1967 when they changed it to the fairlane platform. If they did make a 63 fairlane ranchero it would be interesting to see, and more than likely to be pretty rare as the only ones I can find for sale are all falcon rancheros.

There are NO American built 63' Fairlane Rancheros.

mmm....might have to make a aussie ranchero then Laughing Laughing Laughing

i actualy think it would look great....i reckon i could use the falcon roof....maybe lengtened 2 or so inches.....a ute/ranchero rear...only the top inch or so...that may have to be lengthend too

wrapped in dark plum with a little pearl....mmmmm....out to the shed..pmsl

The first vehicle to resemble a Ranchero was in fact made in Australia, see like below. Ford made the first prototype in 1956, which then went into production in 1957. I saw one of the 56's on ebay about a year ago for sale. This was just called a "Ranchero". In 1962 thru 1966 it was based upon the Falcon platfrom and was called a "Falcon Ranchero". In 67; as stated above, went to the Fairlane. When Torino's came about it went to that, can't remember the year. Rod in Vegas.


1932 First utility vehicle called the UTE. A precursor to the Ranchero.

I agree it would be a cool little truck - 63 ranch wagon would be a logical starting point.
