Steps out from the shadows

Hi everyone. Just saying hello. I finally got my car delivered last night. I got a yellow '64 wagon with a 289, auto, power steering and power brakes. It seems pretty solid for an Ohio car. (although it's far from perfect)

I hope I don't ask too many stupid questions. I don't really know anything useful about cars, so I'll be learning everything the hard way. I did get a shop manual on CD. Is that enough, or are there other sources I should be looking for? (like a Chilton's/Hayne's)

Please let me know if there is anything else I should look out for, and please forgive me if I ask some really elementary questions.

Welcome! If you have any pics of your wagon, please post them in the members rides section (I use photobucket.com - pretty easy).

Shop manual is going to answer a lot of questions. You can also use the search feature to find old responses to similar questions.
