Locating the hump?!?

I'm looking at the graphics for intalling a shifter hump into my 67. The trouble is. I'm coming from a bench seat to buckets. and I don't have the floor brace. Plus it's one of the fiberglass repops and there's no telling where the threaded hole in the hump would be. I know I could locate it so that it would work fine. But I'm a litte worried that the carpet won't line up with the hump properly. Is this something I should wait on till after I get my carpet ordered?

That's the graphics I'm using. And if I remember right, it's just about the same thing that came with the part. Thanks for the reply.
