intake advice
Howdy, I need some advice. I am building a on a stock 302 in a 69 F-lane on a budget, current plan is just to make some more power and keep it easy to drive street machine. I have full length headers coming, and want to do a new intake and carb, im thinking about 600cfm carb, and a small cam. Would you go for a Edlebrock performer or performer RPM? _________________ ----------------------------------------

You can't go wrong w/ the edelbrock pre-engineered packages... If your basic engine is sound, then when you put their components on, they're designed to work together... JMO

Odd Ball,
Go with the Edelbrock Performer RPM. Better flow. The only thing you will gain with the Performer is a gain in weight, nothing else. Also Scott is right. Check out the performance packages at Summit Racing. Pre-packaged cam lifters, carb and intake. Be careful of the bottom end. If you get too radical then the crank, rods & pistons won't hold up.

thanks guys,
yeah, im just aiming for about 300HP right now, when it wears out or blows up I will stroke it out and put in a nice strong bottom end that will let me do what ever i want... _________________ ----------------------------------------
