Water Temperature Gauge Question

Well, I have the water temperature gauge installed in the car, and it looks like it's working fine, but my question is, would having the sensor hose/wire/whatever it is directly under the A/C hoses cause the reading to be off on the temp gauge?

It says the sensor hose thing is full of ether, so I was just curious if it might expand or contract or whatever if it's right by a really cold A/C hose (assuming the original A/C will actually get really cold). Thanks.

The tempurature reading is caused by the expansion of the fluid in the bulb. Sinc the volume of the bulb is much greater (hunderds of times) than the small diameter tube that goes to the gauge the temperature the tube is exposed to has a very slight effect on the reading on the gauge.
