1963 Fairlane Grille Customized Grille
Up for sale, the unique Fairlane "Floating Grille".
As you can see in the intro pic, I use this on my own Fairlane (no the car is not included) and I get numerous comments on it in all my car shows. "Where did you get it?" or "Can you make me one?"
Well, I have decided to take some of the spares that I had stored away and I'm now offering this one to the world.
The process to achieve this type of grille modification takes numerous hours of cleaning, buffing, polishing, prepping, and meticulous masking to achieve this unique customized design. Not a concours product but definitely something Ford should have considered!
I start with the best parts I can find and then carefully go over every inch cleaning and buffing to achieve the best possible foundation for the paint. The paint is a high quality satin acrylic latex enamel paint which provides super adhesion and durability. I have had it on mine for over two years now with zero degradation. The pieces ore then meticulously masked off to protect the areas that do not get the paint. Three coats and heat baking ensures correct adhesion. Its them unmasked and inspected prior to final buff out. Lastly, each floating square is adorned with a prism applique that adds a eye catching "pop" in the sunlight that is impossible to ignore. It's awesome.
Price $250
Item is located in Austin TX. Will ship anywhere, buyer to pay exact shipping costs. I make no money off shipping.
