MSD igniton problem

MSD igniton problem

I have a 1966 fairlane with a FE 390 that I am trying to put MSD in but I have low voltage at the coil when cranking engine any Ideas?

resistor wire

Now someone more knowledgeable than I will chime in, but do the 66 up cars have the pink resistor wire at the ignition switch to drop the voltage, like the 62-64's do
I know with the pertronix u have to bypass this resistor wire to get full voltage to the per. module, when running.

Thanks for the reply Is the pink wire inline with the ignition wire and if you by pass it what did it lower the voltage while cranking on
