I have a guy offering me a 65 Sport Coupe Fairlane, that is 289, four speed, bucket seat console car. Does not run currently, but, the motor actually looks like it was rebuilt fairly recently. Car has a very solid body, with no rust throughs that I can find. All glass is good, and all trim is there. It is a project though.
I have never been high on the 65s but, a four speed, bucket seat console car is intriguing.
I would appreciate input as to the potential value of the car, both as is, and running and driving.

not running is a big drawback, without seeing the car its tough to put a number on it
I nice 64 here, but a auto car, 289 & he;s asking 4500 bucks for it, looks good, from a distance but, it needs work to the body for sure, which as you know, once you start digging body work can add up quickly.
also, a near perfect 64, T-5with a late 302, 8.8" rear asking 12K & its a really nice car, just get in & drive.
So, id think, with a non running motor, what to offer, 3500?
The guy must have a number in mind? Start there & work down!
