Currie
Have you had a look at Curries site, they offer all kinds of 8" packages from your basic trac-lok pumpkins to the Aumi 8"! _________________ roger powell

check local pricing on getting 8.8"
most pick-n-pull style yards will sell one for under $150. Getting some new axles and having it shortened up will prob be in line with a new traclok and gear swap on a 8" (plus you can swap to disc brakes or beefier rear drums) Most all are 3.73 or 4.10 gears and limted slips are not all tha trare in them
you can save money by shortening up for the stock style c-clip axles (reusing axle ends) or switching over to 9" style ends and axles.
a new driveshaft might be needed though as the snout is shorter on the 8.8" axle housing. It is lighter than a 9" and more efficent powerwise (it has a higher pinion reducing friction) _________________ 1962 Fairlane- 250" aussie inline six cleveland, T5, hydroboost disc brakes, power steering, EFI....the list goes on.
