64 Fairlane 4 speed swap
I have already purchased a t10 from a 64 Galaxie. I am told that this should put the shifter in the right, factory location. This is what I want since I am making a K code replica. That being said, are there any other cars besides the 62-64 Fairlane that the pedal assembly will just drop into my car ansd look pretty much stock? Any places that sell these assemblies or parts? Anyone have one they want to sell? I already have the console top plate, boot, and trim ring. Now I need to find the shift fork, linkage, pedals, and other hardware. Ideas? Thanks!

have the pedel set sitting here along with the Z-bar (I think one end was rotted a little and would need fixed) _________________ 1962 Fairlane- 250" aussie inline six cleveland, T5, hydroboost disc brakes, power steering, EFI....the list goes on.

I am on my way to look at a set off a 62 4 door that a guy is parting out. Do you need anything off of it? I will check out the condition of as much as possible while I am there. He wants too much for it or I would buy the whole thing. ($800). If the deal falls through on the pedals I will be back in touch and let you know either way. Thanks!

gunsights
64 - See if the front fender gunsights are intact, they can be tough to take off tho
1 bolt is up inside the wheel well, but, the other, if i recall, you have to go to front of car, look up under the headlights, small panel comes off with 2 screws to reach the front screw _________________ roger powell

Roger, I saw your post asking about these in another thread. I posted over in the parts section. The gunsights are missing, the grill is in really good shape. The chrome around the rear window is in good shape. Still don't know what he wants for the stuff. I got all of the pedal stuff with linkage and hardware, a 5 bolt bellhousing, and the matching metal plate that goes between the engine and trans for $75. He is really reasonable on prices. The prices may go up though because after I got my stuff he mentioned seeing what ebay charges and going with half that price. We will see what he says. Let me know if you are interested in any of the other stuff.

how many teeth?
OK, so now in a continuation... I have most of the parts except the flywheel, pressure plate, and clutch. I have seen 3 different tooth counts listed and don't know which one I should have. I assume that when I go from auto to manual that I will need to change starters too? The tooth counts I have seen are 157, 160, and 164 with the first and last being most common. I have a factory style aluminum 5 bolt bell housing. How many teeth do I need and do I go with 10.5" or 11" clutch?
Thanks!

I would say 157 tooth flywheel. That's what I have on my 64 289 4 speed. The 164 is for the 6 bolt 289, 302, & 351 engines. _________________ 1963 Fairlane Sports Coupe
