Traction Bars

Has anyone used traction bars on a 63 sports coupe?

Does anyone make a specific set of traction bars for a 63 fairlane or is their a universal set that will work in stopping wheel hop and body twist? Thanks

The universal bars work mostly as good as the model-specific designs with some exceptions, such as the J-hooks or Calverts. They will stop wheel hop.

Bars do nothing to prevent body twist. That is worked from the frame side by adding rigidity to the body structure.

Springs are made to flex. Traction bars will not hurt them.

I can not say enough about the Cal Trac bars....my car went a 1.49 sec. 60" time last weekend. Not bad for a foot brake car! The car lifts both front wheels up nice and square.
