What temp is your engine running?

I am just curious what other peoples water temp's are at idle and while driving down the road.
I need others to compare to.

Mine has a 160* thermostat and is getting above 190* while idling.

temperatures

Running a 3 row rad, stock 64 Fairlane with a larger bottom tank to make it into a 3 row with a Taurus electric fan/Flexalite VSC "soft start" Controller set to 182 degrees to come on. 160 thermo so i got good flow before fan kicks in, runs at 180 degrees all day , in heavy traffic.
the taurus or Lincoln MarkV111 fan with Flexalite VSC controller is one of the most satisfying mods i;ve done to the old girl

I have been trying to get mine down in the 180 range, but it just wont come down any.

Useful info I guess:
63 Fairlane
260 block, 289 heads
Mild cam
alum intake
edelbrock 500 carb
high flow water pump, stock radiator, 5 blade fan about an inch from the radiator, 1/2 a fan shroud, new rad hoses, new heater core and hoses.

Ive adjusted the timing, changed the thermostat, cleaned the cooling system and the list goes on and on.

Ive thought about switching to a bigger radiator with electric fan, but just dont want to spend the money on it.

I havent seen how hot it will actually get at idle. once it hits 190+ I shut it off. Confused

stock 89 lx(auto) rad, dual 16" electrics, 160 stat AND FRESH COOLANT
NEVER above 180, even idling at cruises on 85+ degree days!

Griffin exact fit radiator, rigid fan, no shroud, E-brock pump and never above t-stat opening of 180 sitting still, traffic or at speed.
