Went out again and looked at the machined block above the clutch swivel boss. It is stamped with "RP" but no vin.

RP! Well, those are my initials, abviously, it must be my block
Please return it immediately!

Thanks Roger. I didn't meant to be so long to get back with you guys... work has become, well, work. 70+ hour weeks are not leaving much time for the fairlane. No use in asking Bob any more. I figure the engine is the engine i've got no matter what it is. I am taking it to get machine work done after work tomorrow. I already picked up a 4 speed for it, got the console top and shifter trim ring. All I am needing now are pedals and related linkage. Guess I should ask my 4 speed related questions in another post though so people may read it and I'll get answers that way. THANKS ROGER!
