AOD to C4 BELL

AOD to C4 BELL

Can you take a AOD and bolt it to a 1964 c4 5 bolt bellhousing

No, the AOD is an intergal bellhousing, meaning it is part of the transmission case (one piece).

how do you get the aod to bolt up to 289s? will it bolt to a 260?

The later 289's were six bolt blocks. I am not sure if there were any 6 bolt 260's.

An AOD will bolt up to all 6 bolt 289, all 302, all 351W, and all 351C since they all have the same 6 bolt bellhousing pattern. All these engines take a 28oz flywheel except for the 302 (5.0) after 1982. They take a 50oz flywheel.
