Emissions
Can anyone tell me what, if any, emission equipment goes on a 67 Fairlane with a 390? I've got mine running and ready to register and I need to get an emission test. Colorado btw, not California if that matters. _________________ If it wasn't for kids and cars, I'd be rich.

california only...
that stuff would only be on a california car... 49 state cars didn't see airpumps until the early 70's.., IIRC.... Although not familiar with Colorado, you should be OK with a PXV vanlve and an ir cleaner heat riser that works,,.. ask a random inspection guy what it requires...

I thought AZ was the only state that tested cars that old. They go back to '66. One of the reasons I bought a '64, actually the main reason. I also have a '72 Pinto that runs great, but hasn't been registered in 3 years, because it is such a hassle to get through emissions. The irony of it is, if I were in CA, it wouldn't need to be tested. And CA supposedly has the toughest emissions laws in the nation. Best of luck getting through that emissions test. To me emissions crap is the biggest issue facing classic car enthusiasts.
