1967 fairlane 500 sedan grill emblem insert

My 67 2-door sedan has the Fairlane grill emblem that is shown on the top of the page not the XL nor the GT. Unfortunately, I cannot find this insert and mine is in bad shape. Does anyone know if these are available or can they be painted and look half way decent?

I feel you, I couldnt find a new one either. I got extreamly lucky and found a darn near perfect complete emblem at a salvage yard in Ashboro NC.

Only place that still makes them is: http://www.emblemagic.com/emblem_types.htm

You place an order, which may take up to a year for them to manufacture a "lot". Meaning they just don't have them sitting around, but wait until there are maybe xxx number of orders for them.
They used the colors from a NOS one I have. When they first released them on their website, the BLUE was not correct -- but now, excellent.
Not cheap, but the one I bought about 10 years ago (came in a Ford box and was complete w/chromed surround/backing plate/nuts/emblem) for $300.
