Soda Blasting

Anyone ever have personal experience with soda blasting? A complete car can be done in a day without damage to glass, rubber, and trim for less than $1000. Sounds like it can start rusting if the soda remains in crevices and will lift paint unless it is neutralized and cleaned properly. Beats sanding for a week, but not if it causes rust from the inside out.

$1000 would be a great price. Around here Soda Blasting runs $1800 to $2200.

You should prime as soon as possible.

Soda is not any more evasive than sand or any other media. They all stick in every crevice and neet to be blow out several times before painting,

A well known local tuckpointer charges $125 per hour for labor and soda and said it usually takes 7 or 8 hours. I guess it all comes down to prep work just like anything else. Hearing about a soda blasted car with a few years on the paint job would be great.
