66 Fairlane offset spring shackles

I seem to remember seeing a NSS Fairlane at Memphis NMCA drags
a few years back with offset leaf-spring shackles. Seems these will
move the springs just enough to give you a little extra tire width ( ? ) Rolling Eyes

Anyway, has anybody here done this procedure and, if so, could
this mod and a set of Cal-tracs hold up to a 700 hp. NSS engine
with success ?

Crites also has the offset leaf spring hangers. Personally if you have the money I would loose the leaf springs and go to a coil over set up, that way you can not only adjust ride height but how you want your suspension to react. I think with narrowing your rearend and the right back space on your rim with a mini tub you can get almost 12" of tire under your car and still have a back seat.
That is what I did on my 67

Any info on your mini tub. I'm clearing 28x10 hoosier slicks with a little fender massaging but you can always go bigger

I've got a 66 GT that I'm getting mini tubbed as well as installing the offset leaf spring hangers. When you said "almost" 12 inches of tire, what exact rims and tires are you running? I'm looking to get as much under there as possible. Also, did you have to shorten the diff any to get the bigger rubber under there or just use different backspacing?

I am running Mickey thompson P325-50-15
rearend is narrowed 1" and the rims are weld 15 x 12 prostars with 7 1/2" backspace, the chrome trim around the wheel well will need to be rolled in slightly.
