I just installed a Champion radiator and can say it runs cooler but thats it . The radiator was warped like a old 2/4 . I laid it on the floor and its warped by 5/8 of an inch . They claim stock mounting and shroud fit and the mounts are different and the radiator shroud mounting is wider than the shroud itself .I email the seller and he says it happens from time to time . These guys claim they are top notch but I would say there just full of it and after a buck no matter what . _________________ 1966 Gt , Tahoe Turquoise , 35143 miles

Seems GDI are no longer, they made a wide bottom tank to fit the Fairlane rad, you could take this new tank to any rad. shop & they could whip you up a 3 core for low bucks & it works great.
Electric fans free up a wack of HP, 10 to 30hp depending on who you ask!
If you look over at Ford Muscle, the fav. switch of the month is a Lincoln Mark V111 fan with a spal or DV controller.
You have to use a relay to handle the hungry Lincoln fan tho. I'm sticking with the Taurus fan as it fits our stock size rad,. exactly! You do have to trim the shroud to fit between the rad & water pump snout, bout 3.4".
I;ve idled in 90 degree traffic & with the Spal varible speed controller it kicks the fan on slowly, then it will speed up or down as needed,as i said ,never gone North of 185. I do know as stated above Griffin makes a great product.
Cross flo or Verticla flow, makes no diff. more rows the better _________________ roger powell

Radiator
Sorry, I'm a bit late to the party
I have a 430 HP - 460.
I have a custom Be-cool radiator and dual 16" pushers mounted in front. Stays cool even at 95 outside in traffic. _________________ Martin Farber

it's a Champion brand, quality appears to be top shelf.

I got the 4 row champion from ebay, nice radiator for the money, but not top shelf. It does everything the more expensive "be cool" does except look perfect. The fins arent "perfect" and the tanks have some nicks and marks on them and the welds arent pretty. However I am very pleased with it, cools very well, looks "not bad" and the price was about half that of a "top shelf" radiator. Highly recommend going with one of these before even pricing a copper radiator, aluminum does a much better job transfering heat.
